About the Museum

The Wilbraham Children’s Museum opened in the spring of 1981 to provide recreational and educational services for the young children in the greater Wilbraham area. Today the museum serves as a community center by offering playgroups, birthday parties and special events suitable for children under five.

Inside the museum are a variety of play-scapes that will spark imagination and creativity in your young ones.

Play areas include a spaceship, a castle with slide, a dress-up box, a model kitchen and tool bench, legos, both big and small, two racecars, puzzles and books. In addition, there are a number of toys and musical instruments available for playing, and a train set.

Public Playground

The playground is open year round from 9 am to 7 pm/dusk and is free of charge.

Outside on the playground you will find a variety of structures including a clubhouse, pirate ship, swing set, and many climbing structures and other toys appropriate for children 5 and under.

It is appreciated if families who use the playground regularly consider making a monetary donation for its upkeep or become members and donate their time for one of the fundraising events.
